calmjo is Jo, a real time multiplayer card game: the version of contract rummy most commonly played in Australia.
This page sets out our policies in relation to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information (as defined in the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) when using the calmjo website, apps, and related services (the Service).
If you choose to use the Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
The Service is designed to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, no passwords, and no signup:
- The display name you choose, shown to the other players at your table and on the top scores list;
- A randomly generated identifier stored on your device, used only so the Service can hold your seat if you disconnect and reconnect;
- Your games in progress and finished game scores, which are held in the server's memory while it runs.
Your table style preferences (colours and cloth) are stored on your device only and are never sent to us.
Log Data
Whenever you use the Service, we collect data and information called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing the Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Service Providers
We use one third party service provider, Linode, to host the Service. Linode may host your data in the United States and other countries. We do not use any other third party services, analytics, or advertising.
Cookies
The website does not use cookies. The app identifies your device with the randomly generated identifier described above, stored on your device.
Security
We use our best efforts to protect your Personal Information. All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites or services.
Children's Privacy
These Services are not designed for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case that we discover personally identifiable information in relation to children under 13, we may immediately delete this from our servers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Please review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
