Ester Akothee who is known as Akothee, a Kenyan singer and an entrepreneur. She is a very talented and skillful artist in singing the afro-beat songs, complemented by hot dancing steps. Akothee was in a collabo with Diamond and Flavour, that is why she has managed to be known both locally and internationally.

Joshua Owino Kokeyo is Akothee’s father, a former District Officer. Her mother is Hon. She and Monica Yunita Kokeyo was the sitting Migori MCA at that time. Akothee was the eldest among her parents, and she grew up in Migori.

She began her secondary education in Nyabisawa Girls Secondary School but later on, she withdrew during form two. She did her secondary education at Gachie Mixed Secondary School where she finished in 2004 when he was 21 years and managed to get a C+ mean grade. On her social media post result slip, she scored an A in History and Government but failed miserably with a D- grade on Mathematics.

Akothee Husband and Children

She got married to her first husband at the age of 14 years, and she had three children in that marriage. She used to live with her mother-in-law while her husband was still studying, but after completing studies, she went to Nairobi, where she lived happily with her husband. While at Nairobi, their lifestyle was so poor that they received donations of cooking sticks, mattresses, and cooking pots from their neighbors. After Akothee had three children, her husband left her and married another woman. She decided to move to Mombasa with her children to stay with her brother. In Mombasa, she worked as a taxi driver, getting little income to sustain herself and her children. There was a time she carried a man from Zurich, Switzerland, who became her boyfriend and took her to his home place.  The two got married, and Akothee conceived her fourth child with him, but later on, she broke up with him and moved to Kenya. Akothee is a single woman having five children; 3 daughters and two sons. Her daughters are Vesha Shalian Okello, Celine Dion Okello, and Prudence Apundo from her first marriage. In her second and third marriages, she conceived two sons, namely Oyo and Ojwang’.
